She may not have won Bachelor Sean Lowe’s hand in marriage, but Lindsay Yenter left Season 17 with something arguably better: a sense of purpose.

“Before The Bachelor, I was really up in the air about what I wanted to do,” Lindsay told Broke But Bougie. “I had just graduated from college, so I was a little overwhelmed because I couldn’t find a job. I knew I wanted to work with women and relationships, I just didn’t know how or where.”

What better place to sort out the options than Bachelor Mansion? Plenty of women and relationships there!

The 25-year-old’s stay also taught her how to say what she means.

“Before being on The Bachelor, I was a bit of a pushover,” she said. “Since being on the show I’m much more aware of the power of communicating and letting other people know exactly how I’m feeling.”

Even though letting Sean know how she felt didn’t end so great, the skill is serving Lindsay well in her professional life. She works as a teacher, has partnered with the company behind the wedding dress she famously wore on The Bachelor, and somehow still finds time to watch homegirl Desiree Hartsock hand out her roses (see who she thinks Des should pick). Way to make it work, Linds!
