We're still in shock about Glee star Cory Monteith's tragic and unexpected death on July 13, and it looks like Bachelor Nation is grieving along with everyone else. Autopsy results confirmed that Cory overdosed on a combination of heroin and alcohol after struggling with addiction for years, and unfortunately some people are stigmatizing his substance abuse.

While most Gleeks understand that addiction is a pervasive illness (and that relapse is difficult to prevent), Bachelor alum Jaclyn Swartz wants to remind fans that Cory's drug abuse wasn't something he could just quit cold turkey.

"Seeing all of these nasty comments about Cory Monteith's cause of death just goes to show me how ignorant people are about addiction," she tweeted on July 16. "Shame."

Unfortunately, many people truly are ignorant about addiction –– but luckily most of Cory's fans in the Glee community and beyond are empathetic and understanding about his struggles with drugs, as well as his persistent fight to overcome addiction through rehab and therapy. Oh, and those who aren't understanding just got schooled by our girl Jaclyn.

Do you agree with Jaclyn's tweet? Hit the comments and tell us what you think!
