Juan Pablo Galavis was just crowned ABC's next Bachelor, and all we can say is this: We are not worthy. This handsome Venezuelan papa bear stole our hearts during Desiree Hartsock's season of The Bachelorette, and despite the fact that he had very little screen time, it's no surprise the dude was picked to lead Season 18.
Actually, scratch that — it was a huge surprise to last season's Bachelor Sean Lowe, who was hoping his Bachelorette buddy, Emily Maynard's ex-fiance, Jef Holm, would have ascended the rose-covered throne.
“He’s funny, articulate, different and already has a large fan base,” Sean told OK!. “I think the franchise needs a polarizing guy like Jef for a bounce back.”
Bachelor Nation definitely has a mixed opinion about El Jeffe (there's no denying that he'd be a great Bachelor!), but fear not — Sean is all kinds of pumped about Juan Pablo.
"Tonight, I had the chance to meet Juan Pablo at After the Final Rose and he seems like a really great guy,” Sean told Wetpaint Entertainment in an exclusive interview. “I wish him nothing but the best and sincerely hope he finds love and happiness just like I did during my time on The Bachelor.”
Way to welcome Juan Pablo with open arms, Sean! There's no reason this Bachelor alum can't fan-boy over both J. Pabz and Jef! It's called having bros in different area codes, duh.
