Every season on The Bachelor, we find ourselves overcome with jealousy as we watch the lead and his lovelies jet off to exotic locations. You know, like when Ben Flajnik took his harem to Puerto Rico, or when Brad Womack took his ladies to Anguilla, or when Sean Lowe took them to a freezing lake in Canada and made them go swimming or else (we see you, Selma Alameri). Romance.
So, with Juan Pablo Galavis heading up Season 18 of The Bachelor, where will the Venezuela-raised hottie travel with his mujeres? Will they all get their passports stamped heading into South America to see if they can hang in another hemisphere? Will they head to his hometown of Miami, Florida, for a hot bodies contest amidst some of the sexiest women to hit the sand?
Well, maybe, but first? Well, first they’re going to Utah. Or, at least one of them is.
The ladies started off with introductions at Bachelor Mansion on September 17, at the usual Agoura Hills, California location. But according to Spoiler Guru Reality Steve, JPG quickly left the normal 3- to 4-week locale! “SPOILER: The "Bachelor" filming leaving LA immediately as I was told & begins shooting in Utah starting tomorrow for their first location,” Steve tweeted on September 18.
But they didn't jump ship completely right off the bat. Steve posted on September 20 that they were headed for the Electric Run in Salt Lake City (see videos of it here), but although he initially thought they were all aboard to non-Californialand, he later retracted because he got intel that there was a 1-on-1 date in Los Angeles on Thursday, September 19.
Next up, they headed to South Korea! Steve revealed their first group post-Los Angeles stop when he tweeted on September 30, "SPOILER: "Bachelor" filming has moved to Seoul, South Korea for episode 4. Group date filmed today with the K-pop group "2ne1." In case you're wondering what he's talking about, 2NE1 is a super popular K-Pop group of four girls, and the video for their single "I Am the Best" has nearly 78 million views on YouTube. Considering Juan Pablo's love of music and singing, we're not surprised that producers chose this date. In a disappointing turn of events, Juan Pablo is not a K-Pop dance extraordinaire, no matter how much we wish he was.
Next up, Steve reveals that they headed to Vietnam, then New Zealand. To make things feel truly complete, on October 17, RS revealed that Juan Pablo and his final six girls headed to somewhere very surprising: Pabs' hometown of Miami! "SPOILER: "Bachelor" filming has moved to Miami. They will be filming there all weekend before starting hometown dates next week," Steve tweeted. Hometown dates filmed the week of October 21, so we know JPG headed to Sacramento to visit Clare Crawley, then to near Kansas City for Nikki Ferrell, followed by Atlanta for Andi Dorfman, and then Sarasota, Florida for Renee Oteri.
On November 1, RS gave us the final bit of info about their travel locations, revealing that the Season 18 finale was filmed in St. Lucia! “For the first time ever, the ‘Bachelor’ is repeating a final location and they are headed to St. Lucia for the overnights and final rose ceremony. If you remember, they went there for the ending of Jake’s season,” Steve posted.
Um, no fair, guys.
Where would you like to travel with Juan Pablo?
