Kat Hurd made a good first impression on Juan Pablo Galavis, stepping out of the limo in a red-hot dress on The Bachelor Season 18 premiere. After telling Juan Pablo that she never learned how to Salsa — despite having a B.A. in dance and grooving since she was little — Juan Pablo showed her a few steps. While it was a little awkward, as these things can be, he offered a sensory review she can be proud of: "She smells good. VERY good."
So that question was answered, but how long will the fragrant, dancing Kat be with us? Let’s discuss.
Kat had kind of an awkward first rose ceremony when JPG called her name and Kylie Lewis stepped forward instead (oops). Then Jimmy Fallon had some fun at Kat’s expense when talking about how her full name sounds like something felines leave in the litter box. Kat seemed OK with the jokes, tweeting to Jimmy, "Does this mean I get a litter box in my dressing room when I come on the show?! I prefer the clumping kind… Easier to scoop.”
Way to go with the flow, Kat! Episode 2 should bring more smooth sailing for our girl Kat. In fact, she can probably just zone out during the rose ceremony, since she should already have a flower in her hand, if rumors are true. According to spoiler king Reality Steve, Kat gets a rose on her one-on-one date next week.
Fast-forward to Episode 6, though, and the tears may be flowing. According to Steve, that February 10 episode will take place in New Zealand and Kat is sent home at the rose ceremony. But hey, there are worst places to be dumped...
Juan Pablo has been vocal about his love for dancing, even considering it a turnoff if a girl isn't a great dancer, so we figured Kat might be a good match. But apparently he wants more than some sweet-smelling Salsa time.
Are you a Kat fan? Are you surprised that Steve says she doesn’t quite win Juan Pablo’s heart? At least Jimmy thinks she’s “the pick of the litter”!
