Clare Crawley appears to think quite highly of her relationship with Bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis. But Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock hasn’t been bowled over by the couple’s connection as of yet — and Des worries about how Clare will react if Juan Pablo gives her the boot. In other words, Des is firmly on Team Nikki Ferrell.
Most of Clare’s screentime this week on Season 18 Episode 7 came from her dustup with Nikki after she, Renee, and Chelsie got sent home from the group date. In her Bachelor blog, Des blames Clare’s issues with the other women on her insecurities. Which insecurities does Clare have, you ask? Uh, you may want to sit down for this, since Des has compiled quite the list.
“Her jealousy seems to come from insecurities that may stem from past relationships, the pressure to find ‘the one’ since she is the last single daughter of six, the loss of her father, or personal insecurities that make her seem needier than the others,” Des writes. Dang, girl, don’t hold back!
Does this seem like a backhanded compliment to anyone else? At first, it seems that Des is defending Clare for being misrepresented, but then Des plays the “needier” card. Boom. We’ll go out on a limb and say that Clare wouldn’t appreciate Des’s analysis.
Meanwhile, Clare isn’t Des’s top pick for Juan Pabs by any means. “Her need for love is so apparent, that all I can hope for is that if Juan doesn’t end up with her, she can move on, knowing that she is still deserving of a great love,” Des adds.
Wait — did Des just say she hopes Clare can move on? As in, Des thinks Clare is so attached to this guy she’s only known for a few weeks that, if JPG doesn’t pick Clare, she’ll just have to invest in a few (dozen) cats? C’mon, Des — Clare is still a total catch. That said, she probably shouldn’t ask any post-Bachelor suitors to go on middle-of-the-night dates in the ocean in the near future.
Do you think Clare is a little too needy? And would she have trouble getting over a breakup with Juan Pablo?
