Sorry, Juan Pablo Galavis, but Andi Dorfman is just not that into you. The Season 18 Bachelor contestant chose to eliminate herself after the Overnight Dates aka “Fantasy Suites,” saying that she felt disrespected during the date, and she no longer had any desire to stay in the competition.
“Waking up the morning after, I just kind of started to realize every time I started to talk about my feelings or talk about something from my past, or whatever, it was always him that started to tell his own story,” she told cameras. “It was all stories about him, and not once did he really ask anything about me.”
Not only did Andi feel like Juan Pablo was rude to her, she was also furious to hear him bring up the night he spent before with Clare Crawley. “It was like, seriously? Are you kidding me? It was unbelievable and it was so inappropriate to me,” she said.
With all that in mind, Andi decided to forgo step away from her video message to Juan Pablo and talk to him in person. In their confrontation, Andi told Juan Pablo that he was disrespectful not only in telling her that he had just woken up the previous morning next to another woman, but also that she “barely made it” to St. Lucia and was there “by default.”
She was outraged that no matter what she felt, he just responded “It’s OK,” in every situation. “It’s not OK!” Andi tried fruitlessly to explain, demanding that he must have feelings other than ones of dismissal.
After debating his control of words like “default” for a surprisingly long time, calling him an offensive jerk, and showing that he had no idea about the details of her life, she left. She's not letting him off with any excuses, either. "It's not a language barrier," she said. "He didn't see it."
Are you surprised that Andi eliminated herself? Or did you sort of see this coming? Head below and sound off.
