Certain Bachelor alums have moved on to illustrious careers in showbiz, like Ali Fedotowsky, who is now a correspondent for E! News. But not everyone can be Ali. Case in point: Bachelor Season 7 star Charlie O’Connell is starring in a new movie, and no, Charlie probably shouldn’t clear a space on his mantle for an Oscar for the film. But he does look as handsome as ever in it, so there’s that.

Charlie — who turned 39 yesterday — posted the trailer for the upcoming film, Sex, Marriage and Infidelity. Charlie plays a philanderer named Oliver, and he gets berated by his spouse in one scene for cheating on her. “You lying piece of garbage,” she yells at him while he’s in his underwear (!). Come to think of it, we’re kinda surprised that none of the Bachelors have ever been called a “lying piece of garbage” by an ousted contestant.

Charlie’s co-star in the film is Shannon Tweed, who is best known for her marriage to Kiss frontman Gene Simmons. Shannon is also known for her prolific resume of erotic movie roles, including such impressive-sounding (*cough*) films as Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death and Body Chemistry 4: Full Exposure. [Editor’s note: Don’t see Body Chemistry 4 if you haven’t seen the first three films in the series. You’ll be totally lost.]

In all seriousness, we’re happy for Charlie, who has been working steadily in indie films of late. He is also known for recurring roles in shows like Sliders and Crossing Jordan and for parts in movies like Dude, Where’s My Car? and The New Guy. He chose Sarah Brice in his Bachelor finale, and the two dated for years before finally parting ways for good in 2010.

Sex, Marriage and Infidelity might not exactly set the box office on fire, not to mention — judging from the trailer — the film’s editors could have used some pointers from the highly skilled ones employed by The Bachelor. But who wouldn’t want to pay for a movie that gives you a chance to see Charlie’s chiseled physique? We’re so there.
