We already know that the wealthy and educated love the Bachelor franchise, but now we know that both the young and the young at heart love the The Bachelorette and The Bachelor franchises. The Young Hollywood Awards — the awards show that calls itself the “Oscars of Young Hollywood” — has honored our favorite dating series with a nomination.

According to their list of nominees for 2014, The Bachelor/ette have been co-nominated in the category of best Reality Royalty. We’re assuming this category just plain honors awesomeness, as the other nominees in the RR category are: America’s Next Top Model, The Real Housewives, So You Think You Can Dance, and The Voice.

The awards show, which airs on The CW on July 28 — set your DVR, as this is the finale of Andi Dorfman’s quest for love on The Bachelorette! — is a red carpet event “celebrating the accomplishments of emerging young talent throughout the entertainment industry.”

Congrats to Chris Harrison and the ABC crew on the nomination!

Will you tune in to the awards? Or will you do what’s good for you and watch the season finale of The Bachelorette? Tell us in the comments.
