The flow from each Bachelor to Bachelorette season has followed the same formula for years now: Find the most likeable runner-up contestant, and dub them the next season’s lead. But with the recent disappointments of “ees OK” spewing Bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis, and the lackluster ratings of Bachelorettes Andi Dorfman and Desiree Hartsock, it might be time to shake things up, Chris Harrison admitted recently.
The host chatted with E! News this week, where he was asked about the search for Andi’s successor as Bachelor 2015. First, the site asked Chris which of the Dorf’s suitors would be the best pick for the role, to which he responded vaguely, "It's iffy out of this group, I have to admit. Usually, it's very clear cut and I'll say it's not clear cut at all who would come out of this group."
However, there’s probably a good reason why host Harrison is choosing not to weigh in on which guys are in the running. For one, they won’t likely reveal who the Bachelor will be until after Bachelor in Paradise wraps in early fall, so we’ve got some time. Plus, the Da Vinci menswear designer threw another wrench in the plans with this comment:
"As soon as we name it, we want everyone to be excited, but I don't know if someone will come off the show…because that's something else we've been kind of thinking about, maybe throwing a curveball, changing things up. It'd be nice," Harrison revealed.
In other words, producers have considered outside dudes who aren’t currently competing for Andi’s heart and hand. We know this idea has been tossed around in the past, but Chris makes it sound like there’s a real possibility...
