As soon as Andi Dorfman gave Chris Soules the boot during Fantasy Suite dates, Twitter launched a #ChrisForBachelor campaign, while women nationwide dug out their cowboy hats and Googled “Iowa.” Farmer Chris himself has said he’s down for the job, and that he’s single and ready to mingle ladies willing to kick it with his mom. But is ABC on board with Chris as Bachelor 2015?

According to producer Mike Fleiss, the identity of the next rose giver is still not decided. The evil genius behind The Bachelor franchise tweeted “Choosing the next Bachelor is proving to be very challenging… #toughcall.” Molly Mesnick immediately tweeted back, “Not a tough call AT ALL...Farmer Chris all the way!” Truth, girl, truth.

If not Chris, then what other options do producers have for the coveted spot? Obvsi they’ll consider which of Andi’s two remaining men doesn’t get her Final Rose: Josh Murray or Nick Viall, though after the show gave McSalty a bit of the villain edit this season, it’s kind of doubtful that he’d get dubbed king of roses.

Fan favorite cookie monster Marquel Martin also had a Twitter campaign launched in his honor following his elimination, but that love fest has started to lose steam and he may be over the whole idea of love triangles after his stint on Bachelor in Paradise.

One option we hadn’t considered for a while came courtesy of responders to Mike’s tweet: Arie Luyendyk, Jr. The handsome race car driver who came in second on Emily Maynard’s season got a lot of support from the twittersphere in response to Mike’s comment.

Before Em’s other ex Sean Lowe was cast as Season 17’s Bachelor, Arie said he would be interested in the gig if it didn’t conflict with his racing season. Good to know what the boy’s priorities are, so if we ever find ourselves in a relationship with Arie we can set our expectations accordingly: racing first, hair second, love third. Third place still gets a trophy, right?

Who do you think should be the next Bachelor? Tell us in the comments.
