Just this morning, we found out from Arie Luyendyk, Jr. that he will not be Bachelor 2015. Not only that, but the race car driver also insinuated that the lucky gig would go to Chris Soules by writing, "have fun on the farm people." Was that a little shade, Arie?
But lest we forget, things aren't official until they're official — aka ABC announces the dimpled Iowan and trots him out on some morning show. What's that you say? That's actually going to happen? Yep, the network's morning show Good Morning America just tweeted today that the next Bachelor would be revealed live on-air tomorrow, August 27! In other words, better get straight to bed after Bachelor in Paradise ends tonight — you'll need to wake up bright and early to catch this reveal!

Original story (7/31/14):
Now that the Final Rose of Andi Dorfman’s season of The Bachelorette has been signed, sealed, and delivered the question on everyone’s mind is… who the heck is gonna be in the lead role of Bachelor come January?Producers teased the heck out of us at the After the Final Rose special, when they got Michelle Money to interrupt Chris Harrison and ask when the announcement would be made. Our hearts leapt with glee, thinking one of life’s biggest mysteries was about to be solved. But then, alas, Chris wagged his pointer finger and said “nuh, uh, not so fast M-squared.” Basically, ABC is gonna tell us when they’re good and ready.
So when will that be? We all hoped it would be at ATFR because that’s when Juan Pablo Galavis was announced. But according to Reality Steve, we all need to chill and remember that announcement was the exception, not the rule. “There was no summer show last season, so they basically had to announce it early,” says Steve.
This year, producers have Bachelor in Paradise to focus our attention to, so it seems like they’re gonna milk that train for all it’s worth and announce after we’ve gotten our fill of Bachelor Nation alumni looking for love in all the wrong places. Steve backs that notion up, estimating that the official announcement won’t come “until September right before filming starts.” After all, they're still in the process of casting the ladies who will be vying for the heart of he who has yet to be named — according to RS, based on the schedule of previous seasons, final casting for the 2015 show is taking place over the next couple weekends and producers "certainly aren't going to announce it before those girls get in town." Hear that ladies? The window to get your application in is closing, so hurry!
We're hoping they announce sooner rather than later, because September is a long time to wait to find out whose abs we’ll be drooling over — good thing we have BiP to meet our eye candy quota until then.
Do you think ABC should have announced the Bachelor by now, or are they smart to wait? Tell us your thoughts below!
