Even though the first of this new Bachelor series, titled Bachelor Updates, matches what Spoiler King Reality Steve told everyone last week — which turned out to be an ill omen for fans of Season 15 Bachelor couple Brad Womack and Emily Maynard — we’re still stoked to have something official that will help feed our addiction for “where are they now?” intel.
As Rosemaster Chris Harrison explains in his Entertainment Weekly blog:
“First of all, we have wrapped the first part of production on Bachelor Pad 2. It is incredible and will far surpass anything we came close to producing last summer. [...] We will also be bringing you what we’re calling ‘Bachelor Updates’ on our most popular couples. The first you will see on Monday, July 11th. I sit down and talk to Emily who is speaking publicly for the first time about her relationship with Brad. I know all of you have had tons of questions about Brad and Emily, and their silence has only added fuel to the tabloid fire. Emily and Brad wanted to remain silent until the time was right for them to speak. That time is now, and you will see and hear all next Monday night.”
Of course, he doesn’t really mean next Monday night, since that’s July 4 and there’s no new Bachelorette episode then. (Wah!) But on July 11, we’ll probably hear directly from Emily that she broke up with Brad, or some version of that, when she sits down with our favorite Rosemaster. (Double wah!)
Here’s hoping future eps will include happier “updates” with the franchise's more successful couples like Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez, Trista and Ryan Sutter, and even Bachelor Pad sweethearts (and friends of Wetpaint) Tenley Molzahn and Kiptyn Locke.
What do you think, guys? Will you tune in?
