The Bachelor Season 17 finale exploded with a bang: Sean Lowe’s darling family landed in Thailand, ecstatic to meet both Catherine Giudici and Lindsay Yenter. Sean managed to spend approximately five minutes with his niece and nephew (the adorable Kensington and Smith, respectively) before he grabbed Catherine from her white SUV and introduced her to his entire family. Catherine, looking ethereal in a red striped dress, gracefully met the parents and Sean’s sister and brother in law — and then the entire Internet teared up with joy as they welcomed her into their family.

Catherine opened strong, with an adorable anecdote about how she was the only girl on her middle school’s football team — and then she broke her arm. “And then I went on to cheerleading, where I hurt myself way worse.” Well played, girl. Asked how she feels about The Bachelor process, Catherine candidly explained, “I was very skeptical in the beginning, I knew it was going to be a trip, but I didn’t know how much I’d learn about myself and how much I’d really want to be with somebody like Sean, or that I’d have feelings like this.”

Post-family summit, Sean’s mom took Catherine aside to gently grill her about why exactly she thinks she’s right for her only son, and Catherine answered every question with grace and candor. Asked if she would say yes to Sean’s proposal, Catherine said, “Absolutely, yes. He just makes me feel really good and true about myself, and I’ve never felt that comfortable with myself ever. I’m ready for this, I never thought I would be, he’s such a great person and I would never let him go.” Sean’s mom, tearing up, replied, “That makes his mom proud to know that!” How do we get adopted into this family?

Next up: Sean’s dad, Jay, who wins the Reality Television Humanitarian Award (we made that up) for the rest of the century. Jay asked all the tough questions with the bedside manner of George Clooney. “How do you know for sure that you are really in love before you get married?” This is the SAT of relationship tests, obviously. Catherine didn't hesitate, answering, “For me, it’s just been about being my complete self and giving myself completely to him and him to me. I know we’re going to experience hardships, but you fight for that. And I’m a fighter. So I’m just excited to have a best friend for life.”

The Best Dad in the World was visibly impressed by Catherine’s answer, and Jay went on to share his hopes with how she might fit into the Lowe family. “When Shay [Sean’s sister] married Andrew, he became my best friend, and I love him. If it’s you that Sean ends up marrying, you will never have a bigger fan than me. I’ll love you like my daughter. And I just met you, and that’s what’s cool about it. Sometimes you just know.”

BRB, sobbing and crying, mostly because there’s not another Lowe child to marry so we can be BFF with Jay.
