If you’re the betting type, like we are, you and your friends sometimes like to get a little action going over who will receive roses from Sean Lowe on The Bachelor. But if you’ve watched the show enough, you’ve probably learned not to put money on the order in which the questionably-clad ladies are chosen. After all, sometimes the girls you think the Bachelor is feeling the most are chosen way late in the rose-doling game.

On Season 17, Episode 4, Sean chose early favorite Desiree Hartsock second to last, which is just nuts. So, what does it all mean? Not a lot, Ali Fedotowsky reveals in her Bachelor blog. Having gone through one or 14 rose ceremonies herself, Ali has the main line on the motives behind picking some girls first, and making others sweat it out.

“It's either random or put in an order to keep the audience in suspense. So I wouldn't be too concerned that Desiree was chosen at the end last week or that Daniella was chosen last this week. It really doesn't matter.” Phew, that’s a little relief for those of us who were worried that sweet, funny, good-humored Des may be dropping in Sean’s heart rankings.

But Daniella fans shouldn’t rest too easily, according to Ali. “I don't think Daniella will make it past next week,” the former Bachelorette teases.
