We saw her insult Courtney Robertson with a bleep from the network and assumed what was bleeped was a curse word. Not so, says an insider close to Emily. It was the word “autistic.” First some background.  As you saw, Emily and the other girls began to sense the distance Courtney was putting between herself and their pursuit of Ben Flajnik. Why, at this speed, they're going to need a horse to catch up (lucky for Lindzi Cox). So Emily used her precious 1-on-1 time with Ben to dump on Courtney — but Ben wasn't buying it.

Yet, once Courtney got wind of the hatchet job Emily tried to give her, the two women went at it. In the middle of their catfight, Emily called Courtney a word so nasty, producers bleeped it.

Our Emily insider exclusively confirms that the word bleeped was “autistic.” But as soon as the word flew out of her mouth, Emily immediately regretted it. “She was very worried what viewers would think of her,” the insider tells Wetpaint Entertainment. “She was terrified of the backlash. She knows what she said is completely inappropriate.”

“It doesn’t represent who Emily really is. I think she just got caught up in the heat of the moment. Sometimes, people say dumb things. She knows it wasn’t her finest hour.”

“She was so relieved when she saw that the word had been bleeped. She’s very grateful to the producers for having her back.”
