After coming in fourth during Ben Flajnik’s season of The Bachelor Kacie Boguskie famously returned for a second shot at love during Season 17 with Sean Lowe. Kacie made it to the third episode, but it was clear her connection with Sean wasn’t more than friendship. At the time, Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky predicted Kacie’s exit, writing, “Sean said that he viewed her as a ‘friend’ when he met her. If a man is into you, he wants to BE with you —  in every way possible. If he saw her as a friend then, he is going to see her as a friend now."

Despite Kacie’s initial shock at the rejection, she told us afterward, “I knew it wasn’t working. I was going to walk up to him and tell him, but I wanted to make sure it was a mutual decision. Things ended up working out for the best.” Sean is now engaged to Catherine Giudici, and Kacie has found her own true love in music producer Rusty Gaston. “I have the best boyfriend in the entire world now,” Kacie gushes to The Leaf Chronicle about her guy, a famed Nashville-based producer who has worked with a number of famous singers, including Blake Shelton, Celine Dion, and Jessica Simpson. “And he’s a great Christian guy,” Kacie adds.

Now that she’s done with ABC-sponsored love journeys, Kacie’s thrilled to get back to normal life. Of her breakup with Ben Flajnik, Kacie reveals, “At the time it was like my world had fallen apart. But then you come back to reality.” The 26 year old’s current reality is centered around her faith, her new boyfriend, writing, and volunteering. Her dream is to write a book about eating disorders. “There are so many people in the world who try to compare themselves to other people and be someone that they’re not,” Kacie, who battled bulimia in high school, tells The Leaf. “And if they can be comfortable in their own skin, that’s huge.”

We’re thrilled to see Kacie comfortable — and glowing — in her own skin!
