Rumor: Melissa Rycroft Called "A Total Diva" and "A Nightmare To Work With" on New Reality TV Show (UPDATE)

Melissa Rycroft was declared "America's Sweetheart" after Jason Mesnick flip-flopped on The Bachelor Season 13, dumping Melissa for the woman who is now his wife, Molly Malaney Mesnick.

Melissa seemed to continue to charm America — or at least ABC viewers — on Dancing With the Stars Season 8.

But apparently not everyone loves the perky mom.

Mel's new TV show, Melissa & Tye, premieres Friday, April 20, on CMT and someone on the crew is saying some not-so-sweet things about her to Star Magazine.

"She was a nightmare to work with," a source told Star (via RadarOnline). "She comes off sweet on camera, but in reality she's not. She's a total diva, really moody and super high maintenance."

Ouch. BUT... in a weird way, this might be a good teaser for Melissa & Tye. Who wants to watch a reality TV show with no promise of even a little drama, right?

UPDATE: Melissa responded to the story when a fan asked her about it on Twitter: "There's always people that love negativity-but there's something to be said for saying something ugly anonymously..it's just hurtful."
