Poor Lindzi Cox. If this is true, she may want to stick to horses.
What could be worse than being texted to Dumpsville, then dumped by Ben Flajnik in front of millions of viewers on The Bachelor Season 16 finale? How about being sent to Dumpsville by the same ex-boyfriend a second time?
Eric Lenze, a 33-year-old financial planner from Seattle, WA, talked to The National Enquirer about his relationship with Lindzi, which lasted for almost a year. They reportedly reunited after running into each other at college football game in Seattle but — ouch! — he reportedly dumped her a second time after they slept together.
"She told me that she had been on an 'adventure' and it made her realize how much she missed me," Eric told The Enquirer (via Reality TV World). “After the game, we went back to my house and had sex. But a few days later, I realized I made a mistake. I told her that we make better friends than lovers."
At the time, he didn't even know she had been on The Bachelor. "I assumed that, since she had sex with me, Ben didn't end up picking her, which I believe is a good thing," he said. "After watching the show and reading the Internet blogs, I think Ben is a dork."
(Better to be a “dork” than the other “d” word that is used to describe a man who has sex with an ex he has no intention of getting back together with — then tells the tabloids.)
Eric also said Lindzi misrepresented his infamous Dumpsville text; his version makes Lindzi out to be something of a stalker who wouldn't stop texting him after they broke up (because their relationship "lacked passion," he claims). So he told his friends, "'This girl won't stop! Doesn't she realize I sent her to Dumpsville?'" He said his friends grabbed his phone and send the Dumpsville text while he was getting a drink at the bar. Classy.
Update, March 13, 2012: During Lindzi's exit interview (via Reality TV World) following the Bachelor Season 16 finale, she responded to these claims from her ex, saying "It's amazing what people will do to make a dollar." When asked if "it wasn't true," she simply replied, "Yeah."
