Sean Lowe finally found clarity during his rose-doling tenure on The Bachelor Season 17, getting down on one knee in Thailand to propose to 26-year-old Seattleite Catherine Giudici. In the short six months since the proposal was filmed, Catherine and Sean have been hiding out, waiting to introduce their fairytale to the public during “After the Final Rose.” The happy couple burst onto the stage during the March 11, 2013 finale special, beaming blinding rays of love at each other while Chris Harrison barraged them with questions about their future.

“She has waited months to wear this out in public,” Sean sighed, with his hand protectively on Catherine’s knee. Catherine, who has a posh job as a graphic designer at Amazon, revealed just how difficult it was to return to normal life after returning from Thailand. “It was very surreal, it was hard to be away from him and go back to this weird life that kind of seemed like a dream, but I was always thinking of him,” Catherine said, looking adoringly at Sean. The big, late-breaking news? These two plan to marry “soon,” but not as soon as immediately, despite Chris Harrison’s best efforts at marrying them right then and there.

Following repeated reports that these two will be marrying soon, Sean revealed that, yes, they plan to marry soon, because that’s the next step! “A marriage follows a proposal. We don’t have a date yet, but we think it, seeing as how we met on a TV show, it would be cool to have our wedding on TV, and ABC will cover the wedding.” Ladies and gentlemen, meet the next Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum! Catherine echoed Sean’s sense of urgency. “I just got this back today,” she said, gesturing to her engagement ring. “But I don’t see why there would be any waiting period. I want to be his wife.”
