It’s hard to believe it’s only been two weeks since viewers saw Sean Lowe propose to Catherine Giudici in the Season 17 finale of The Bachelor. After putting a four-carat Neil Lane sparkler on Catherine’s ring finger, Sean swooped his fiancee up onto an elephant and rode off into the sunset. Until the following week, that is, when Sean popped up on the 2013 Dancing With The Stars premiere with partner Peta Murgatroyd. After all, what would Mondays be without Sean Lowe?

Speaking with Elliot in the Morning on Monday, March 25, Sean revealed that he didn’t immediately jump at the chance to stay in the ABC spotlight. “I was hesitant [about DWTS],” Sean said, adding that his fiancee helped him decide what to do. “I had to call Catherine, and we talked through it, and basically the two of us decided that this opportunity was too big to pass up.”

Sean is now living in Los Angeles, practicing with Peta for a whopping six to eight hours a day. “My goal is just to outwork everybody,” Sean says of his DWTS-winning game plan, sounding refreshingly realistic. “I don’t have the most talent as far as dancing goes, but I think as long as I keep putting in the six to eight hours a day, I can last a long time.”

Catherine has also moved to Los Angeles to support her man — quitting her posh job at Amazon to focus on wedding planning and freelancing. Adorably, Sean jumped at the chance to gush about his fiancee during his radio interview. “We just get each other, we’re both really funny and we both love being goofballs, and we’re able to do that together, but at the same time we’re able to have a very romantic relationship, so it’s the perfect fit.”
