Selma Alameri is still reflecting on The Bachelor, months after Sean Lowe eliminated her in the fifth week.
In an interview with The San Diego Union-Tribune, the 29-year-old rehashes her time on the show.
Selma posits that what we saw on TV was a “pretty accurate” yet condensed version of events. “The producers would ask us questions and put us in situations, but nothing was scripted, she says. “They can’t make you someone you aren’t, but they can enhance who you are.”
She also clarifies her stance on on-air kissing: “They made the kissing thing a huge deal, which is good and bad. It was just a simple request from my mother, not to kiss on TV. It made me come off as really innocent, which isn’t entirely true. [Sean] was kissing 14 other women; I didn’t want to be just one of them.”
Speaking of “them,” Selma says that the girls all got along very well — minus Tierra — and that she still keeps in close contact with Diana, AshLee, and Lindsay.
As for her post-Bachelor life, Selma says that the show has made her more open to dating but that she stays very busy running errands for work or traveling for pleasure.
Sounds like Selma doesn’t need romance to be a Bachelor success story!
