Calling all hot Canadian men — The Bachelor wants YOU!

Our beloved dating show is boarding the wings of love, lifting off, and heading over the United States’ northern border. "There are so many [Bachelor] fans [in Canada]," Rosemaster Chris Harrison told Dose.ca. "That's really the reason we would go out of our way and come up. There's such an insatiable appetite for our show up here, maybe even more than America."

Chris won't be hosting the show up north, however, and it's not clear now if American fans will even be able to tune in. (Maybe through YouTube?) But right now, the producers are looking for a host, a home base mansion, contestants, and a guy to date. Basically, they are starting from scratch.

Contestant applications are being accepted at www.citytv.com/BachelorCanada.

Sean DeVries, the Canadian show's supervising producer, said of the casting process for the prospective Bachelor, "Chris has told us that he needs to be hotter than your husband or spouse sitting beside you. So we're looking for a cute guy but also one that is seriously looking for love and willing to be candid with us and expose himself, in a way."

Chris warned that the Canadian love story may not be any more successful than the American (or new British) version.

"The thing is we didn't say you have a couple at the end or you have a marriage, that's never been the purpose. Bachelor Canada isn't promising anything," Chris told his Canadian producer buddies. "What they promise is a great guy as a bachelor, and he's going to be looking for love with 25 amazing women, and whatever happens, happens — and you'll be along for the whole adventure. It may be the greatest love story in the world or it may be the greatest train wreck in the world. Either way, you're going to be on board."

Is he talking about Bachelor Canada or warning us about the end of The Bachelor Season 16 with Ben Flajnik?

Read the full story for more Canadian details, eh.
