OK — you caught us day-dreaming about being on The Bachelor again. We have a sneaking suspicion, though, that being on The Bachelor isn’t nearly as glamorous as it appears in our daydreams. Luckily, we have former contestant Kacie Boguskie talking to University of Tennessee Young Alumni to give us and other future Bachelor hopefuls much-needed advice.
Kacie says, “If I had a friend going on the show, I would tell them to just be themselves and to not get caught up in everything going on there.” She adds, “Remember the real reason you're there and pray for guidance along the way. Looking back, I would do it again. I have no regrets and only great things have come from it! However, I think I'm hanging up my heels on trying to find love on television." Considering The Bachelor franchise’s track record, we’d say that was a good idea.
So, then, if not reality TV dating, then what else is in Kacie’s future? "Right now, I'm just enjoying life and the many opportunities that have come my way. Big picture, I want to work with young adults who have eating disorders, share my life experience with them and show them that life is worth living.” We find Kacie so inspiring we might just give up our Bachelor daydreams and do some good in the world … right after we answer that Bachelor open casting call.
