Ashley Spivey got Brad Womack’s first impression rose on The Bachelor Season 15, then got dumped on a dramatic 2-on-1 date when her bestie, future Season 7 Bachelorette Ashley Hebert, got the rose. But Ashley S. has been doing just fine since then, with a new boyfriend and an active life in the East Village of NYC.
She turned 27 on November 7 and celebrated her b-day with fellow NYC resident Ashley H. and visiting Season 6 Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky.
The Southern-born nanny is an active tweeter @AshleySpivey and, as she told a fan recently, “the little boy I nanny for takes 2 big naps a day so I tweet while he's asleep. If I'm not tweeting - he's awake!” Today she tweeted in memory of her beloved father who died three years ago, “RIP Daddy 1/31/62 - 11/16/08.”
Ashley likes to hang out with fellow Bachelor Nation residents in the Big Apple. Just this past week she tweeted about having her makeup done with fellow Season 15 bachelorette Jackie Gordon and she said she loved meeting Season 5 Bachelorette Jillian Harris: “I think we could write a relationship book together ;).”
Speaking of relationships, Ashley has become quite the blogger, sharing relationship advice and funny/touching stories on her new site, Say No To Cosmo. In her blog, she revealed that she met her post-Bachelor boyfriend, Scott Wheaton, via Facebook — adding that she had been “stalking” him since 2004.
“We can’t remember who added who as a friend, but Scott was in a Facebook group called ‘Friends and Lovers of Ashley Spivey (Syracuse Chapter),’” Ashley wrote on November 14. “Scott lived in the same dorm as the creator of the group, and he decided to join it because it was funny. I only knew Scott as the mega-hottie of my group so I’m pretty sure that this is what caused me to accept his friend request. We actually never even communicated over FB until 2008, but you best believe that I checked his page and pictures pretty regularly. He was cute ok?!?
When we finally went on a date, 6 years after adding him as a friend, I had seen him date 2 pretty long-term girlfriends, put up some witty status updates, and he might have wished me happy birthday a time or two. I had a hunch that he wasn’t a crazy psycho.”
