This guy's family is known for producing tires, wines and a Bachelor — and that Bachelor is now a delegate at the Republican National Convention!

That's right — it's Andrew Firestone, 37, ABC's third rose-giver, back in 2003! He got engaged to Jen Schefft, but after they broke up she became The Bachelorette, and he moved on to find love off the show. Andrew and his wife Ivana now live in Santa Barbara with their son and daughter.

David Ono of KABC-TV in L.A. talked to Andrew at a brunch for the California delegation in Tampa.

"This convention for me is not about coming and just cheering on the candidates, it's about listening to the candidates and having them tell me their plan and how they're going to enact that plan," Andrew tells KABC. "I don't want sound bites, I don't want bumper stickers, I want to know how things are going to change, because right now the country is going in the wrong direction."

Andrew said he can identify with Mitt Romney "because I think that he has a clear vision that he wants to give his sons, the next generation, the opportunities that he had.”

KABC said politics has become Firestone's passion. You can hear him talk more about his political views in the video. Weirdly enough — with his new slicked-back hair, which you can see in the video — he kind of looks and sounds like Kalon McMahon's older brother, no?
