While those of us in the U.S. scramble for spoilers on the The Bachelor Season 17, our northern friends are preparing for Bachelor Brad Smith’s hometown visits on the inaugural season of Bachelor Canada. (We’re trying not to dwell on the fact that The Bachelor gets syndicated internationally while Bachelor Canada is a strictly Canadian joint, but seriously...how unfair!)

Just as every rose has its thorn, every Bachelor has his wingman. In the U.S., that role is fulfilled by our faithful host, Chris Harrison. Canadians, on the other hand, turn to their very own Tyler Harcott to guide their Bachelor in his “journey.”

While Tyler lives in the U.S., he is originally from Alberta. His past hosting duties include TLC’s Junkyard Wars and Miss America: Countdown to the Crown. Talk about diverse! And — get this — got his first voiceover gig by lying about having past experience. Very shifty, Tyler!

Tyler admires his American counterpart,, but he is definitely not setting out to be the Canadian Chris Harrison. “I'm not Chris Harrison and I don't want to be Chris Harrison. Neither does Chris Harrison or the producers — they want me to be me, that's why they hired me.”
