Five points for good eye contact and a genuine smile!
“Can’t Fight This Feeling” was the official song of Team Cupcake (Ashley Hebert and JP Rosenbaum) on The Bachelorette Season 7 but the sentiment seems to also fit The Bachelor Season 16.
Although it annoys everyone in sight, Ben Flajnik appears to be falling for Courtney Robertson. Last week, Brittney Schreiner admitted she was more drawn to last season’s Bachelor, Brad Womack, than the Sonoma winemaker. And although we didn’t get the full scoop on TV, Spoiler King Reality Steve said there was a bigger story to Samantha Levey’s exit than we saw on Episode 4.
During the fly fishing group date, Samantha asked Ben why she kept getting group dates. Ben said she didn’t really handle herself well on group dates, getting emotional and not seeming to be there for him. “From what I’ve seen up to this point, I don’t see this going much further, to be completely honest with you. I wonder if you take this seriously enough.”
He dumped her right there. It seemed quick and random. What else was going on?
To quote Steve’s episode-by-episode spoilers:
It was also established in San Francisco that contestant Samantha [Levey] had fallen for producer Bennett Graebner. Nothing physical ever happened between the two, but Samantha told producers she didn’t want to be there anymore because she had feelings for someone else, somehow they convinced her to stay another episode, and that was that. I am not sure if this storyline will ever make air because Bennett is married with kids, but hey, it sure made for some good dirt. So whatever BS reason they show for Samantha leaving in Utah, just know it’s because of that.
Why wouldn’t they let Samantha leave in San Francisco and use their producer influence to keep Shawntel Newton around for more drama? Just saying, if the producers are going to stick their necks into the mix to create storylines, why keep Samantha around when Shawntel was probably more likely to stir the crazy pot? Did Ben put his foot down on saying “no” to Shawntel?
