There are some moments in life that are so burned into your brain, you remember them like a slow-mo Fabio-centric butter commercial. For us, that was the first time we saw Jef Holm get out of the limo and greet Emily Maynard in The Bachelorette Season 8 premiere. We were so overcome with the need to toss our hair and lick our lips, that we nearly reached through the screen and tore the pocket square from his tiny suit jacket to dab our sparkling foreheads. So we would be remiss if we didn’t ask: would Jef give 25 lucky ladies the pleasure of having that IRL moment by being the next Bachelor?
Jef sat down recently with Salt Lake City’s ABC4 to fill us in on his dreamy life in the gentle, yet sexually dominant way that only he can. Naturally, the three ladies talking to his Holmness could barely contain themselves when they asked “If they called you and said, ‘Will you be the next Bachelor?’ what would you say?” Subtext: Should I start getting my bikini body ready?
We know you are literally barely sitting on your spa chair, your hand flailing at your manicurist as you await the answer with bated breath. So, what’s the deal? Would he? “I don’t know, I mean, I didn’t think I would ever go on [The Bachelorette] in the first place. So, I thought growing up, that if I ever got a call to go on a show like The Bachelorette, I would say no. But I did it, and it was an amazing experience.” Wait, you thought about this growing up? Nevermind. Seriously. Just tell us.
“So I’m open to... I’m open to... I mean, you never know how you’re going to find the person you’re supposed to be with. You never know what experiences or adventures you’d go on. So, I don’t know how to answer that,” Jef continued mysteriously.
Sounds to us like it’s a “not no,” which is actually the standard answer we get when asking dudes out. We’ll take it.
