We were shocked when Bachelor 2013 contestant Desiree Hartsock was voted out by Sean Lowe during the reality show's dramatic 17th Season!

This gorgeous gal was born on July 1st, 1986, and hails from a small town in Colorado, though she eventually moved to California and followed her dreams of being a fashion designer. Desiree has a job as a production assistant at a woman's clothing company called Serenity Bridal, and even designed her own dress for The Bachelor 17's first Rose Ceremony. This gal comes from a tight family who have gone through their fair share of struggles, and is an extremely devout Christian — much like Bachelor Sean Lowe!

Desiree captured America's heart during Sean's season of The Bachelor, and it was clear that these two had major chemistry. However, Desiree's brother was less than welcoming to Sean during the The Bachelor hometown dates, which caused Sean to eliminate her. Their goodbye was more than a little tearful, and many Bachelor fans worried that Sean had made a huge mistake.

Nowadays, Desiree is ready to fall in love with the man of her dreams as ABC's Bachelorette for the show's 9th season. Desiree's Bachelorette status was announced during The Bachelor Season 17 finale, and she's already off filming with her group of hunky guys!
