Looking for the latest news on The Bachelor Season 17 power couple Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici’s wedding? We’ve got all the gossip, photos, and updates here!
Bachelor Sean Lowe found the perfect girl for him when he starred on the 2013 season of the ABC reality dating show. In the Season Finale, Sean had to choose between two women: substitute teacher / Army brat Lindsay Yenter, and graphic designer / vegan food blogger / Seattle native Catherine. In the end, he proposed to Catherine on the March 11 finale.
Since that day, the two have been teasing us with details of their Los Angeles-based life. Both moved to the City of Angels for Sean’s Dancing With The Stars stint. At first we heard they were going to be having a summer wedding, which would be televised on ABC. Catherine got to work getting in shape, working out with mad Bar Method classes — as if she could look any better! But then Sean told Wetpaint that they probably wouldn’t tie the knot in the balmy months
We were curious to know who would be invited, with Sean saying Bachelorette Season 8 beauty Emily Maynard “wouldn’t be the most appropriate thing.” But what about ex Lindsay Yenter, who was heartbroken when Sean dumped her in Thailand? She said “of course” she would come, assuming she’s invited, that is...
So, just where would this be? Sean says he wants an outdoor party in Los Angeles, much like Ashley Hebert and JP Rosenbaum’s Pasadena nuptials. Would they likewise have it officiated by matchmaker Chris Harrison? Apparently not, considering Sean has several pastors in his family.
Through all the rumors and plans, Sean and his DWTS partner Peta Murgatroyd spurred plenty of their own, with outlets reporting the two were secretly together. Since Sean and Catherine publicly declared they’re waiting for marriage to have sex, the gossip about Peta only seemed more ridiculous.
But Peta is part of the wedding, since she was the one who first revealed in March 2013 that Catherine was already making wedding plans. Not only that, the dance pro is also choreographing a wedding dance for SeanCat. And even though Sean is the one who pranced around on television, he’s worried his lithe fiancée will out-dance him. The dance will be part waltz and part “something fun,” Sean revealed in June.
It all seems like a dream, but the pair is divided on a couple things, including inviting current Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock, who finished fourth on Sean’s season. But since Catherine grew close to many of his former flames on The Bachelor, it’s likely that several Bachelor Nation alumni will be in attendance.
Less certain was whether Catherine would have estranged father Carey walk her down the aisle. But details like that one, and the actual date were on hold until Sean could step out of the dancing spotlight and back into a normal life. Now that the two have time together, they’ve decided on things like Catherine’s dress — “laidback” rather than “poofy” like a princess — and the relative cheesiness of their wedding photos (Spoiler alert: Sean’s all for the goofy angle).
When will the two tie the knot? We don’t know yet, but we’ll let you know anything and everything we hear about Sean and Catherine’s wedding.
