Desiree Hartsock has 25 eligible singletons vying for her heart on ABC's The Bachelorette Season 9, and the time has come for girlfriend to chat about which hunks made the biggest impression during this week's epic season premiere!
Des was "blown away" by her crop of cuties, but she has her favorites — just like the rest of us! First up, Michael G., who stole Desiree's heart by leading her to Bachelor Mansion's fountain and making a wish. "I wanted to make an impression on [Bachelor 17] Sean [Lowe] the first night I met him by making a wish in the fountain," Des says in her People blog, "so I really enjoyed Michael's entrance by fishing for those coins I tossed in last season so we could make new wishes." Good to know, cuz we were mostly just uncomfortable...
Desiree also loved Chris Siegfried's faux proposal, which could’ve gone sour if he hadn’t been so charming. But the real stand out of the night? Zak Waddell, who showed up to the mansion shirtless! "I couldn't help myself but to giggle like a schoolgirl," Des says. "Of all things, I was not expecting someone to greet me practically naked. I could tell right away that it was meant as a joke and I liked that he didn't take himself too seriously."
Zak ended up getting one of Des' first impression roses, though her other fave of the night wasn't as lucky. "Diogo [Custodio] came out as a full-on knight in shining armor, but could hardly move in the get-up," Des says. "It was a bold move and he was sweet for going all out to impress me. Unfortunately, I didn't feel a romantic connection with him, but I appreciated the effort he put into it."
Sigh, poor Diogo. He just didn't see it coming. And by "it" we mean Desiree's rejection, as well as all the objects he accidentally walked into during the Bachelorette's season premiere.
