UPDATE 7.29.13: Although Reality Steve revealed that Brooks Forester will be Desiree Hartsock's choice in the end, the Season 9 Overnight Dates episode sure threw a wrench in our plans. After the couple's incredibly emotional talk, Brooks seemed to walk away, while Des sat on the dock and cried. In the Season 9 Finale promo, it seemed that Des decided she just wants to go home. Will she, or will Brooks return? Read on for what we know.
Brooks Forester has thus far shown himself to be the knight in shining lapels to Season 9 Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock’s #princess #DreamComeTrue #fairytale. On their first 1-on-1 date, the pair dressed up in wedding garb, pranced around eating cupcakes in front of the peasants, scaled the Hollywood sign, made out, and then showed off their dancing skills at a private concert. So, basically, even the most cynical (hi) among us can recognize the perfect confection this date was.
Which raises an important question: Can we have Brooks in our lives, too? Well, Bachelorette fans, we have an answer for you that you’re not going to like: Probably not. According to spoiler guru Reality Steve, not only does Brooks get to stick around thru the end of Season 9 Hometown Dates, but if he plays his (date) cards right, he’ll be around for-ev-er.
Yup, you read that right (behold the powers of waterproof mascara), and even though you’re crying tears of rage / joy for Des right now, it’s hard to believe that the season wrapped already, and we’re just being shown their #amazing #love #journey. In fact, a show insider told Wetpaint Entertainment exclusively that more than one guy proposes to Des in the Antigua-based finale — Chris Siegfried apparently does as well! And although both these man morsels are equally tasty, Reality Steve says Des chooses the one who fed her cupcakes. Wise choice, girl.
It will be a couple months before the pair is able to show off their love in public, assuming Des does pick him, since the Season 9 finale doesn’t air until August 5. But in the meantime, we’ll just continue to wait at wedding shops around Los Angeles, hoping to find a Ken doll of our own to dress up. #SleepWell.
