When it comes to The Bachelorette, we take pride in our huge nerditude. We frequently graph things for fun (like, how many drinks it took us to get through that “Yes to Love” video...), and so it’s only natural that we calculated the finale date for Season 9. While ABC has yet to announce when that it is, we’ve got your back.
The average season of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette lasts 10 weeks, with a “Men Tell All” special thrown in for good (or disastrous) measure. Jef Holm popped the question in Episode 10 of Season 8, and the last four seasons have had the same duration. So, based on that factor, plus spoilers from our brother from another mother, Reality Steve, we’ve tracked the eliminations to narrow down the time frame for the end of the competition, and the beginning of the fairy tale Desiree Hartsock has been dreaming of all her life.
So, when is it? Well, if ABC doesn’t double up on episodes in a week, the way they did that time Des was forced to mainline goat milk, then the Season 9 Bachelorette finale date should be August 5, 2013. The week before should be the “Men Tell All” (July 29) and the “After The Final Rose” special should immediately follow the August finale.
Will you be watching when Des decides which guy will be her #KnightInShiningArmor (too soon, Diogo?), or are you just waiting till it’s all over to hear what happens?
