It’s no secret that the leads of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette get paid for their time finding romance on camera, but what exactly is the price tag on true love?

Just last season Bachelor Sean Lowe supposedly took home between $75,000 and $90,000, but those numbers are actually on the low side (no pun intended). For her time doling out heartbreak, Bachelorette Emily Maynard made a whopping $250,000, the highest figure yet for the series.

So how much bank did Season 9’s Desiree Hartsock make?

Well, Celebrity Networth estimates she’s got a net worth of $200,000 big ones.

It’s not clear what portion of that is thanks to her reality television stardom (ABC’s staying tight-lipped on the topic) but either way, it’s not bad for the SoCal-based bridal stylist.

Also not included in the estimate is the dough Des gets from her latest round of public appearances and the gigs yet to come.

There’s already a long history of Bachelors and Bachelorettes cashing in after their seasons air. Just take Golden Couple Trista and Ryan Sutter. ABC forked over $1 million to film the pair getting hitched in 2003; the company even paid for their larger-than-life wedding. Talk about cashing in.
