It's no secret that ABC's The Bachelorette is suffering from less than stellar ratings. Sure, we all love Desiree Hartsock and her bang-less forehead with the passion of a thousand recently-birthed butterflies (shout out to Brandon Andreen), but something's slightly off.

This season has had plenty of drama and tons of eye-candy, so we're thinking the problem could be Desiree herself. We know, the horror! This gorgeous fashionista is sweet, kind, sensitive and caring, but is she too nice for The Bachelorette?

In the past, ABC has cast slightly sassier ladies (remember when Emily Maynard morphed into a "backwoods hoodrat?"), but Des is even-tempered, amiable, and never seems to get upset about anything. She barely even reacted when Brian Jarosinski revealed that he had a secret girlfriend! Sure, homegirl made Brian leave in a creepy van, but she was basically like "awww, that really hurt my feels, but it's okay! CLAP CLAP CLAP!"

The good news? It seems like Des is 100 percent genuine in her mission to find a husband. The bad news? This gal is taking her status as America's Sweetheart to a whole new level of eager-to-please, and if she doesn't sass things up, she could lose the audience's' interest. You know what that means! No post-show endorsements and no contract with Dancing With The Stars.

Do you think Des is too nice for her own good? Sound off in the comments!
