Desiree Hartsock's emotions were all over the place during this week's episode of The Bachelorette. It's like, one moment she was giggling at local yokels, the next she was pondering the meaning of life while staring at a gothic archway, and the next she was sobbing hysterically.

The cause for 75% of Desiree’s bipolar disorder? One James Case.

This beefcake allegedly hit up The Bachelorette for the wrong reasons (read: he wants to be Bachelor) and Des just couldn't make up her mind about whether or not to deflower him. Naturally, her first reaction to James' betrayal was to be all "GTFO, HATER!" but then she tearfully accepted his apology, only to send him home during the Rose Ceremony. So many feelings, so little time.

"I had all intentions of sending James straight home, but his softness, emotions and demeanor got the best of me," Des explains on her People Bachelorette Blog. "I needed to sleep on it and couldn't make a decision that night. I mean, he is charismatic!"

Sure, Des felt sorry for James, but nowadays she's more than happy with her choice to send him packing — especially after watching his interactions with the other men on camera! "Watching it back, I feel I was completely manipulated by him," she says. "He would put on a softer, caring persona around me, but then speak so harshly with the men."

Sigh, this is like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde all over again. Then again, it's only natural that James would be a little harsh with his bros — after all, they were attacking him! Do you think Des should cut this dude a break?
