From the looks of the sneak peak of tonight's episode we've posted below, Desiree Hartsock and Brooks Forester are experiencing some crossed wires.
"I have always felt strongly for Brooks. I could definitely see him as The One," Des reveals to us at home, as we see the two sit down for dinner on their date.
Des tells Brooks about the "adjectives" she imagines between "like" and "love." That's all well and good, but we're pretty sure they mean "verbs."
"Stepping, skipping, running, and then finish line," Des says. (OK, so three verbs and a noun.)
Then Brooks asks the dicey question: "Where are we at?"
"I'm going into a run," Des confesses.
"I'd say we're jogging," Brooks blurts out, a moment too late. "You're going into a run?"
Yikes, this is awkward already. But it gets worse.
In his confessional, Brooks praises Desiree's honesty but confesses that he's not at the same level. "I'm a little bit behind in my emotional process," he says.
She says she's all rarin' to meet his family, but Brooks squirms at the prospect. Back in the confessional, Brooks says that he's introduced a lot of girls to his family and implies that he's apprehensive about doing the same with Des.
"We're not on the same page," he says.
Tonight's episode is gonna be a doozy, folks.
