Remember when Desiree Hartsock and Brooks Forester got trapped in that cloud and had a deep, philosophical conversation about meteorology and feelings? And then, after singing "this land is your land, this land is my land" (wait, did we imagine that?), Des confessed that she was "running" toward the finish line toward love?

Yeah, turns out Brooks totally wasn't on the same page. This puffy-haired stud seemed somewhat surprised by Des' feelings for him, and he most definitely wasn't returning the favor –– something that shocked Des when she watched Monday night's uber-romantic episode of The Bachelorette!

"I knew that Brooks was reflective and needed reassurance, but I [had] no idea that we may not be on the same page," Des mused on her People Bachelorette Blog. "I wish he had felt comfortable enough to tell me what he was feeling."

Apparently two dates wasn't enough for Brooks to fall in love with Des (what is wrong with him?!), but she doesn't have any hard feelings. "I let the men know from the beginning that it was a two-way street, so I appreciated that Brooks wanted to be confident in his decision to introduce me to his family," she explained. "I could tell from the emotion he showed that his family means a lot to him so I was glad (and relieved!) that he wanted his family to meet me."

Des will meet Brooks' whack pack of amigos and amigas during next week's hometown dates (airing Monday July 15), and we're sure his entire family will love her. And if they don't, she can simply slay them with a sonnet.
