For the unlucky masses unfortunate enough to date without the help of private helicopters, intercontinental voyages, and dethorned roses, Bachelor/ette host Chris Harrison and show creator Mike Fleiss has the app for you.
Unveiled last month, At First Sight compiles short video clips to give users a visual taste of a potential date. Think a sanitized version of Chatroulette.
So who’s using the brand new app? Well, Chris himself claims he’ll be logging on to continue his journey for love post-divorce. And as we learned today, he may be joined by Bachelorette alum Arie Luyendyk, Jr.
Earlier this afternoon the race car driver asked the Twittersphere, “Has anyone tried @chrisbharrison’s dating APP #atfirstsight?” to which the host with the most replied, “You should jump in buddy.” Aye aye, cap’n.
It’s good to hear the Season 8 Bachelorette contestant might be mixing up his dating pool, especially since it’s been a little one-note recently. After getting the boot from Bachelorette Emily Maynard during the finale, Arie dated Bachelor Ben Flajnik's ex-fiancée, Courtney Robertson. When that fizzled, Arie moved on to Sean Lowe’s ex Selma Alameri, but the pair split in March. Talk about keeping it in the Bachelor family.
So will The Bachelor/ette somehow be responsible for finally steering Arie toward true love? Honestly, if Chris Harrison can’t do it, we don’t think anyone can.
