Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock is a walking spoiler alert. She just can’t stop herself from telling Bachelorette host Chris Harrison exactly what she wants from each guy. First, she spilled the beans during the July 8 episode that she was in love with contestant Brooks Forester. Then, in the July 15 Hometown Dates episode, she flat out said she wants him to propose. Like yesterday.
There’s just one hitch in this plan: Of the three remaining finalists, Brooks seems the least interested in Des.
Whereas Chris Siegfried can't stop himself from rhyming in Des’ very presence and Drew Kenney gets all kissy-face whenever he sees her, Brooks has played it cool. So cool, in fact, we’re beginning to wonder if he’s really all that into Des.
But it seems the hard-to-get tactic is working. Though the other men brought her gifts during their hometowns, Des penned Brooks a list of all their special moments together. The sappy gesture seemed to work, since he shared the story with his family later in the episode. More importantly, Des earned an all-important thumbs up from Brooks’ mom.
Now that he’s got his family’s approval, will Brooks finally open up like Des wants him to? Or is this long-haired heartbreaker just not interested? Tell us what you think below.
