Remember when Zak Waddell broke out his acoustic guitar and serenaded Desiree Hartsock during The Bachelorette's “Men Tell All” special? So do we, because it's permanently etched in our memories. We thought Zak's foray into singing was beautiful, and combined with his raw emotions / extremely tan face, chances are you're right there with us in thinking he's a shoo-in for ABC's next season of The Bachelor!

Well, unless your name is Natalie Getz or Ali Fedotowsky. These ladies were less than impressed with Zak's MTA antics, and seem to think his dulcet tones and philosophical musings were all for show.

"SERIOUSLY? Zack [sic] is trying to be the next Bachelor by saying he is still in love AND trying to score a record?" Natalie posted to Sulia after the MTA. "DES, wake up, sister... How can you say James is a manipulator, yet you are letting Zack take advantage of you by singing you a song on TV.... AGAIN?! I mean, this is laughable. I'm embarrassed for Zack [sic]."

Yikes, Natalie has a lot of feelings, and it looks like Ali agrees with all of them. "Did Zak really write a song?" she tweeted. "This is a joke right? Is he trying to get a record deal?"

So many haters, so little time. While we agree that Zak's melodic outburst was somewhat awkward and unprecedented, it seems like he was crooning at Des for the right reasons. In fact, we're 100 percent sure Soulja Boy would approve of his antics.

Do you think Zak's song-session during the MTA was a ploy to become ABC's next Bachelor? Weigh in below!
