Now what? What would you do if you were in Desiree Hartsock’s shoes?

On last night’s The Bachelorette Season 9 finale part one, the one guy she was madly in love with, Brooks Forester, admitted he did not feel the same. He left. She still has Chris Siegfried and Drew Kenney there, but how awkward if she picks one of them after sobbing over Brooks. No one — man or woman — wants to be second best like that.

In Des’s People.com blog, she acknowledged that there were red flags with Brooks along the way, but “sometimes love is blind.” She learned even more about Brooks’s (lack of) feelings when seeing the show. “I was surprised watching the episode and seeing the conversations Brooks had with his mother and sister and with Chris Harrison, expressing his doubts and feelings. He never expressed those concerns with me until it was too late. I was completely blindsided and heartbroken by his exit.” Hence the tears, and more tears, then more tears.

She said Brooks’s goodbye left her questioning everything, but she knows she has two great guys left, and they have both expressed their love. So what to do? “Could [I] get past this heartbreak to love either one of them as much as they both deserved? And would we ever get the opportunity to explore that? I promised myself from the beginning that I was here for love and not just to go through the motions. I had to remind myself that if I wasn't feeling enough for the guys, I wouldn't stay. Stay tuned next week to find out what happens with Brooks, my broken heart and the remaining men.”

Will she leave, giving us The Most Depressing Bachelorette Finale Ever? Will she pick one of the other two guys? Will Brooks come back and convince Des that he really loves her after all?
