Tonight, The Bachelorette Season 9 Finale airs, with a live “After the Final Rose” giving us all the heart-stopping drama twofold. So, what happens when Desiree Hartsock faces the reality that Brooks Forester has flown the coop in Antigua?

Well, according to the official synopsis, the episode picks up where the Season 9 Overnight Dates left off, with Desiree in shambles and Chris Harrison sitting on a wicker chair, ready to pick up the pieces.

Most of all, it’s going to be awkward when she has to talk to Chris Siegfried and Drew Kenney,  right after she revealed that she “just can’t love them as much” as she did Brooks.

But even though it feels like the answer to the question should be a simple “buh-bye,” the synopsis reveals that “Desiree must decide if her chemistry with the remaining two men has the potential to be as intense as the chemistry she had with Brooks, who she thought was the love of her life.”

Oh, and in what we assume will be the most teeth-clenching moment of the night, “she tells them that Brooks has decided to leave.” Let’s hope it’s not followed by a coin toss.

Will Brooks return? Will Desiree get her fairytale ending? It all unfolds at 8/7c on ABC.
