Each season, spoiler king Reality Steve reveals from very early on which contestant will win the given season of The Bachelor or Bachelorette. And he is rarely ever wrong. Back when Steve was first establishing his name as Bachelor Nation’s spoiler king, he did inaccurately predict some final couples. But nothing of that sort has happened for years.

Until this year. Steve’s intel that Desiree Hartsock picked Brooks Forester in the finale of The Bachelorette Season 9 was incorrect. Even after Brooks eliminated himself in the penultimate episode, Steve stood by his original report. We all assumed that Brooks would come back in the Season 9 Finale, but alas, nothing of the sort happened.

Brooks really did leave in Antigua, and Chris Siegfried got down on one knee to propose to Desiree. She said yes, and Chris and Desiree are now engaged.

Steve addressed the mistake on Twitter almost immediately. “Wow. Uhhhh, didn't see that coming. No idea what happened.  Just means ill have to get it right next season,” he tweeted, right after the finale’s East Coast airing.

But Steve certainly seemed to have a positive attitude about the whole thing. “Was wrong about Ali & Brad's seasons, then spoiled Ashley's, Ben's, Sean's, & Emily's & 3 Bach Pad's b4 this. It happens. I'll bounce back,” he wrote.
