Careful what you say about your ex — you never know when he could be useful for promotional purposes.

Season 5 Bachelorette Jillian Harris accepted a proposal from Ed Swiderski— who pulled the kind of leave-and-return move many fans were expecting from Brooks Forester on Season 9 — but they split up a year later. Ed went on Bachelor Pad Season 3, and Jillian went deep into design world, from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to HGTV’s Love it or List It, Too.

Both Jillian and Ed have been pretty candid about their split, and there’s no way we can imagine them getting back together. But that doesn’t mean they’re not mutually supportive. Take Ed’s tweet today (August 21) promoting Jillian’s new antique shopping and design site, Charlie Ford Vintage: “you like cool vintage stuff? i do too: http://www.charlieford.com/home  @jillianharris.” Jilly seemed pleasantly surprised; she retweeted Ed’s note and replied, “dude!!!! Thanks so much!!”

See? Vintage furniture heals all wounds!

Jilly recently talked to Wetpaint Entertainment about her new "baby." For example, how did she and her cousin/business partner Tori come up with that name? "Charlie Ford Wesszer is my nephew,” Jillian told us. “Tori’s husband is a sixth generation Charles, and I came up with the ‘Ford.’ It sounds like an entrepreneur’s name, just really strong and timeless. So, when we were figuring out what our company should be called, we borrowed his name for it."

Sounds like she’s off to a good start — including some free PR help from her ex-fiancé. (Unless he was planning to send her an invoice.) Keep it up, Jilly!
