Ryan was Gia's "Snuggy" and she was "Petrie." They seemed perfectly happy, from afar, but he's the one who found her in her New Orleans home after she had hanged herself. After the tragedy, he issued a statement saying Gia was the most beautiful person he knew, inside and out. But there were reports that Gia and Ryan had been fighting about their relationship before she took her life, and that's the kind of thing that can haunt you.
Gia's funeral was held August 22 at Trinity Grace Church in NYC, eight days after her death, and attended by Ryan, Gia’s family and many members of the Bachelor Nation family.
The next day, Ryan posted the photo shown, tweeting, "Every second of everyday, I miss you Petrie. I feel lost without you but find strength knowing that you are in Heaven. Rest in peace my love."
This is Ryan’s first tweet since August 12, two days before Gia’s death, when he shared this Bible quote: "’Those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.’ Luke 14:11.”
We hope he can find strength and peace after this tragedy.
