UPDATE 7/21/14: Ashley and J.P. made a guest appearance on Andi Dorfman's Men Tell All special to give us all an update on life as a married couple expecting their first baby. Aside from some very intimate insight into Ashley's pregnancy — thanks, ABC for the awkward ultrasound — they also gave us a little more detail as to why they're making the almost 1,200-mile move from New Jersey to Miami.
The couple does have family in the sunshine state, but that's not why they're heading south. According to Ash, she needs a change of scenery and weather. "It was a brutal winter for us and I think we just needed a change, something where we could just have a good quality of life year round. I just want to be able to go outside all year and enjoy life."
J.P. chimes in with "happy wife, happy life!" We agree, J.P., and we wish them them the best in their move and their new life!
ORIGINAL STORY 4/2/14: You might expect Ashley Hebert to be kicking back and taking it easy now that she’s officially preggers, but this Bachelorette star is going to be tackling a move before entering motherhood. Ashley and hubby J.P. Rosenbaum recently told Life & Style that they’re ditching the cold winters of New England and opting for the year round fun in the sun of Miami.
“Our lease in New Jersey is up at the end of June and my company had an opportunity in South Florida, so we are heading down to Miami,” J.P. tells the mag. “We’ll be in a position where we’ll be there for a year or two, and if we like it, we can stay. We’ve always talked about living in a warm climate, so I can see us loving it.”
Just in case you aren’t up-to-date on what this couple does for a living, J.P. is a construction manager while Ashley is a dentist, finishing up dental school in June of this year. The two have been married a little over a year, having tied the knot on December 1, 2012 in a wedding produced by ABC, which aired the special on December 17.
Team Cupcake (as they nicknamed themselves on the show) announced that they are expecting their first child together in October 201. Says Ashley of the happy news, “I’m a little nervous, but we’re very excited.” (Spoiler alert: This is going to be one cute kid!)
It’s going to be a hectic few months, but if any couple can handle the pressure of a move and a pregnancy, it’s these two. Get ready, Miami!

The new season of The Bachelorette premieres Monday, May 19, at 9:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
