When it comes to romantic attempts and grand gestures, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette is a breeding ground for spotlighted moments. And according to the newest ABC press release for Andi Dorfman’s Bachelorette Season 10, the May 19 premiere has another one in store, when a former contestant tries to cut the line for roses.
"A former Bachelorette cast member is trying to crash the party. This uninvited guest has traveled all the way to Los Angeles with the hope that he will be allowed to join the group of men vying for Andi’s affections,” ABC says of the would-be 26th man. It used to be that every season included 25 contestants vying for the prize, er, love with the lead. But that’s not always the case, and it seems a former cast-off really wants in on the 27-year-old Atlanta attorney. (Can you blame him?)
Although ABC doesn’t say who it is, Reality Steve announced it in a column last week, and it’s a good one. Season 8’s super-sincere Chris Bukowski — remember his ugly crying? — is the man of the moment, according to the spoiler king. This guy is everywhere these days, eh?! He starred on Bachelor Pad 3 in the summer of 2012, hooking up with three girls (and, uh, pissing off two of em in the process). We’ve also heard he’s in talks for Bachelor in Paradise, though the new summer show’s announcement came after Chris’s crashing of the first night of The Bachelorette.
Hey, we’ve seen this before! On Sean Lowe’s Season 17 of The Bachelor, BP3’s Paige Vigil and The Bachelor Season 16’s Kacie Boguskie both tried to woo their way into the blond one’s heart. Paige was let go the first night, while Kacie was escorted off on Episode 3. The previous season, Ben Flajnik got a surprise when Shawntel Newton (who got all the way to Hometowns on Brad Womack’s Season 16) tried to crash his Episode 3.
Man, there must be something in the water at Bachelor Mansion that makes these crazy kids keep coming back for more. So, does Chris’s attempt to grab a rose on Andi’s season work? Not so much, according to Steve. Word is that once Andi is told Chris is waiting outside the gates, she passes on a message that she’s not interested. Ouch. We hope his ugly cries aren’t caught on camera this time… and that he gets to come back to our Monday night TV viewing this summer on Bachelor in Paradise! Rose, meet silver lining.
What do you think of this intel about Chris Bukowski: should Andi have given him a chance? Was he there for the right reasons? Reflect on that in the comments, friend.
