Have you guys heard Bradley Wisk sing? Obviously, if you’ve seen the Bachelorette Season 10 and you’ve caught a moment of the 32-year-old contestant’s time in the spotlight, you have. The opera singer belts ad nauseum, and fellow lady of the stage, Bachelor Season 18’s Sharleen Joynt, has had quite enough.
We honestly have yet to see the midwestern-raised guy smile or laugh, and it’s getting unnerving since we think maybe Andi Dorfman has a jukebox in the mix of her hot guys. And we’re not the only ones with an issue with the Bradster. (Wait, how much more would you like him if that was his nickname?). Sharleen called him out after the Season 10 premiere in her new, excellent blog: “All the Pretty Pandas.”
Of his five-seconds-in singing, Sharleen writes “Oh, Bradley. I almost didn't even want to address Bradley because everything he's doing is such a cry for attention it feels like rewarding a dog with a treat when it begs. I'll just say this: There is a socially appropriate time and place for breaking into operatic song and Night One in the Bachelor mansion is neither.”
Bam! That’s some real talk, just as we would expect from our favorite panda. Sharleen has said that producers constantly tried to get her to sing. And, when she finally did while on a 1-on-1 with Juan Pablo in which she sang a few notes for him in an empty square in South Korea, she begged them to cut the footage (to no avail). She continues “Yes, it's more likely than not that a producer crafted this singing scenario, but you can't rape the willing. I've just invented a Wrong Reasons award and Bradley is the undisputed winner.”
Um, besides that pretty choice language (yikes), we totally agree with the Ottawan diva. But Shar had plenty more side-eyeing to do after the second episode. “I confess I was hoping Andi would forgive Craig (Muhlbauer) and keep him over Bradley. Even before his drunken shenanigans, Craig was a very entertaining character who I think means well. Bradley's singing in inappropriate social situations is too much for me.”
Think it’s harsh that she’s knocking him for just a few notes? Well, there’s more to the story. According to Andi’s bestie, Bradley was “singing constantly during the group date,” and “making a spectacle of himself.”
Contrary to her own appearance on the show, when we got to know her complexities and see her as quite mundorific, Sharleen points out that Bradley will not get booted with the same portfolio. “When he goes home (and he will) America will know nothing more about him than we did the first night: That he’s an opera singer.”
Uh, an opera singer with a couple dead roses, that is.
